There has been an underground movement going on for close to a decade now and very few people know about it. This movement is investing in internet real estate, or more commonly known as the art of domaining. Unlike in the world of real estate, you can always buy the lot next door. With domain names, it is different. There is only one dot com version of a domain name and you either have it or you don’t. Not having it can cost you a fortune trying to get it and this is where domainers make their money.
What is domaining? It is the art of investing in speculative domain names specifically with the intention of eventually selling the domain name for a large profit. Some are now developing their domain names, but for the most part, these domain names remain undeveloped or parked until they can be sold again.
Slick Domains was created as a place to discuss the world of domaining with existing domainers, as well as people looking to start investing in internet real estate. We discuss domain investment strategy, domain news, and more!
